Este fin de semana la Cooperativa del Campo San Bartolomé de Beas (Olibeas) ha recibido en Londres la Medalla de Oro que su aceite de oliva virgen extra de la variedad Picual consiguió en la última edición del London International Olive Oil Competition (London100C).
«Hemos tenido la suerte de ser representados en ‘The Olive Oil Awards Ceremony 2022’, la ceremonia de entrega de premios en ILEC Conference Center (Ibis Earls Court Hotel London) por Fran Bardallo, hijo de uno de nuestros socios», explican en la cooperativa. En esta ocasión, el representante de la almazara beasina encargado de recoger este distintivo fue el hijo de su socio de la cooperativa, Fran Bardallo, quien recibió el galardón de manos del manager general del certamen, George Kouvelis, en un acto celebrado en Ibis Earls Court Hotel de la capital londinense.
Este #aceite ha conseguido tres #premios internacionales. El aceite de oliva virgen extra de la variedad Picual que Olibeas ha producido durante la última campaña ha sido galardonado con tres medallas de Oro por su calidad en los concursos internacionales de Virtus-Lisboa, Berlín y Londres, así como una medalla de bronce en los Premios Mezquita de Córdoba. A nivel provincial, logró la máxima distinción en la categoría de gran producción en los premios que organiza la Diputación de Huelva.
Los aceites de oliva virgen extra que la almazara de Beas produce en sus instalaciones (Verdial, Picual, Arbequina y Selección) han cosechado un total de 11 premios en los distintos certámenes internacionales en los que ha participado este año.
